Some cardholders hold cards. This one holds a memory.

Built from full grain vegetable tanned leather and hand stitched with waxed thread, this piece was made for one reason: to mark a season worth remembering.

This is not a complicated piece. It was never meant to be.

One slot. A few cards. A number on the front that means something to the person who wore it.

The leather is natural vegetable tanned — traditional tannage that will age and darken with use, developing a patina that's entirely its own. It's full grain, hand cut, and built the same way everything else that leaves this shop is built — with enough care that it doesn't embarrass the name on it.

The jersey number is stamped by hand. No two impressions are exactly alike. The custom thread color and custom edges are finished by hand. This is not a mass-produced trophy gift. It is a small, hand-made item — and that's the point.

The SL stamp is there too. Same as always. Because even a gift made from more modest materials goes out under the Studwell name, and that name means something to us.

A note on this piece

This cardholder was made as a gift, not a flagship product. The leather is not our standard Wickett & Craig stock — it's a quality vegetable tan selected for this run. It will age honestly. It will hold its shape. It won't be the same as The Benchmark, and we're not asking you to compare them.

What it shares with everything else we make: it was cut, stitched, and finished by one person, start to finish, under the Studwell name. That part never changes.

Care

Wipe clean with a dry cloth. A light coat of leather balm once or twice a year is plenty. The patina it develops is earned — don't fight it.
